Brassinith belongs to the group of the Diabas, which are also called Dolorite (composed of Pyroxene, Feldspath, Plagioclase and Olivine eventually Quartz, Hornblende and Biotite)

It is especially the high concentration of Olivine, that gives the green colour to the Bassinith.
